What is included in our Glasgow Umrah packages
Every package covers the essentials, so there are no surprise costs once you have paid:
- Return economy flights from Glasgow Airport to Jeddah or Madinah
- Hotel accommodation in Makkah and Madinah for your chosen number of nights
- Umrah visa processing through the Nusuk platform
- Private or coach transfers between the airport, Makkah and Madinah
- Checked baggage allowance on all flights
- Support by phone and WhatsApp before you leave and while you are in Saudi Arabia
Meals, Ziyarat tours and travel insurance can be added when you book. If you would rather have everything covered in one price, ask about our all inclusive holidays packages, which add meals and guided Ziyarat to the standard itinerary.
Flights from Glasgow Airport to Jeddah and Madinah
There are no direct flights from Glasgow to Saudi Arabia, so all Umrah flights from Glasgow Airport (GLA) connect once, usually in Istanbul, Doha, Dubai or Bahrain. Total journey time is normally 10 to 13 hours including the stop.
We book with Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Gulf Air and Pegasus, choosing the route that gives you the shortest wait and the best fare on your dates. Most pilgrims fly into Jeddah and begin in Makkah, but we can route you into Madinah first if you prefer to start there.
If flying from Edinburgh or Manchester works out cheaper for your dates, we will tell you. Pilgrims who prefer a direct flight to Jeddah can also look at our Umrah packages from London, which depart from Heathrow.
3, 4 and 5 star Umrah packages from Glasgow
3 star packages
Our 3 star Glasgow Umrah packages are the most economical way to perform Umrah. Hotels are clean, Ministry-approved and within a 10 to 15 minute walk of the Haram in Makkah and Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah. These suit students, groups and anyone travelling on a budget.
4 star packages
4 star packages place you closer to the Haram, often within 5 to 10 minutes on foot, with larger rooms and breakfast included at most hotels. This is the most popular choice for families and older travellers.
5 star packages
5 star packages use hotels next to the Haram, including properties in the Abraj Al Bait and Jabal Omar complexes, so you can return to your room between prayers. Rooms with a Haram view are available on request.
When is the best time to book Umrah from Glasgow?
The best value months for Umrah from Glasgow are January to February and September to November, when flights and hotels are cheaper and the Haram is less crowded. Ramadan is the most sought-after period and sells out months ahead, so book three to four months in advance.
The December school holidays are popular with Glasgow families and prices rise accordingly. For any date, booking six to eight weeks ahead gives you the widest choice of flights and hotels.

How long should an Umrah trip from Glasgow be?
